As one of the first programs in the country involving a for-profit business and a non-profit agency working together to meet the special needs of people, Project DESERVE has served as the role model for similar programs around the country.

How Project DESERVE can help you
Project DESERVE provides emergency assistance paying energy costs for people with a severe disability (children or adults meeting Social Security disability criteria), older adults (people 65 years or older) and income-eligible households.
Applicants may receive a one-time payment of up to $100-$300, depending on their eligibility, to be applied toward an energy bill over a rolling 12-month period.

To receive up to $300, you must:
- Be 65 years or older
- Receive permanent disability income from SSI or SSD
To receive up to $100, you must meet the income eligibility guidelines below:
