Charging Rebates and Credits
Get a rebate of up to $65,000 towards the cost of installing charging at your place of business! Follow these 3 easy steps to apply:

Get prepared: Review your application checklist on evergy.com to get ready for your project.

EV Rate Plan for Businesses
Lower the cost of charging your EV and use cleaner energy. Our EV Rate Plan rewards your business for charging outside of high-demand times (4-8 pm) when electricity is more costly to produce.
Evergy wants to reward your business for having most of your charging occur outside of high demand times. If you charge during off-peak times, we'll pass the savings to you.
EV Purchase Tax Credits
Tax credits for every new EV in your fleet.
Federal Commercial Clean Vehicle Tax Credit 45W and New Clean Vehicle Tax Credit 30D (also available for individuals)
Vehicle eligibility
- Be from a qualified manufacturer.
- Be used for business purposes in the United States.
- Have an electric motor with a battery capacity of at least 7kWh for vehicles under 14,000 lbs and 15kWh if over that weight.
Light and Medium Duty EVs – Federal tax credit up to $75,000
- Applies to EVs under 14,000 lbs, such as cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and delivery vans
Heavy Duty EVs - Federal tax credit up to $40,000
- Semi-trucks, buses and machinery (agriculture or construction)
